I got the gold delta card so all my other Amex approvals would most likely be a soft pull not because it necessarily fits my spend.

I put limited spend on all other cards and use my Amex everyday for any travel.etc and honestly never use my delta gold. I use chase freedom for the quarterly categories and my freedom unlimited is my daily driver.

You don't want a wallet full of hotel and airline cards or store cards you'll never use because this will seriously limit your future approvals because of having too many cards.etc and really hurt your credit building journey. Find cards that fit your spend and that actually benefit you. Just because they may be easier to obtain does not mean you should stack your wallet with these cards. Just like how Amex cobranded delta and Hilton cards have easier underwriting requirements the same goes for chase and other lenders. Don't just go looking for cobranded cards because they're 'easier' to get. will advise based on your other posts to look for cards that best suit your needs. Their other cobranded cards carry another business name on them such as the Marriott bonvoy Southwest Airlines. Their core products are the freedom, freedom unlimited and the chase sapphire. For example with chase they have their core products which will have names that don't directly tie to their business. Even for just a pair of socks.I usually just look at all the card offerings by the various issuers. Try to use each card at once every 4-6 months. Many Comenity and Sync cards have been closed recently. I'm very sorry for the death of your card. Does anyone know how this could've came to be, or have any ideas on what I should do? My credit score thankfully hasn't changed yet from this, but I fear that this might affect my AAoA, which accounts for ~15% of the credit profile. I haven't received any letter correspondence or emails that addressed the closed account either, so all of this seems really out of left field. I tried calling their customer care phone number on the back of my card, but they stated that the account was close by Comenity Bank and could not be reopened, and didn't provide any reasons or information pertaining to the closing of the account. The only relevant matter that I might guess to be the cause of the closure might have to do with not having used the account for 9-12 months, but even then, I got a replacement card from them back in January 2020, so I don't think that ties into the issue. I don't know how this could've happened, because the account was in good standing ($0 balance), was open, and had a 100% payment history (thanks to a recent dispute that deleted all late payments on the account, about 2 weeks ago). I didn't recall requesting any lenders/bank to close my account, but upon looking further to see which account it was, turns out it was Comenity Bank (J Crew). I've never had this issue happen with any of my credit card accounts, but just today, when I checked my Experian credit report, it showed that I have 1 less open account.
